About the Playwright
Springtime. Fifth grade. A handful of author’s copies from my first-ever publication arrived in the mail and my book review of Kizzy Ann Stamps was right there in the magazine, page six. Standing barefoot on the concrete by the mailbox, I knew I wanted to be a writer for the rest of my life.
Years later, my family sold our house to travel the world and I spent time on planes, trains, and automobiles putting my imagination to paper. I wrote for our family travel blog, penned lots of short stories, and popped out my first one-act play.
That little one-act play sparked my love for stage storytelling and a years-long relationship with Williams County Community Theater. Today, I moonlight as a playwright and go undercover in my daily life as a professional events coordinator. (Because what else does a former theater major do with their degree?)
Although I mostly focus on the high school/college play market, I still enjoy writing short fiction and poetry.
